I have never been more excited to talk about a topic like I am about this. I want to urge everyone first and foremost to spend more time alone. I promise being alone is not the end of the world and it will not hurt you as bad as you think.
Constant interaction with people will throw off your frequency and have you questioning yourself. However when you are solid in who you are, the interactions you have with people if they don’t align with your belief’s are, like water off a ducks back. You have to also allow yourself to be sad when you feel sad and then move forward. If you try to skip the mourning process you will never vibrate high enough. Do not skip the mourning process, whatever broke you find time to sit on the situation and analyze it because if you don’t what could happen after could lead to self sabotage.
When I was little my mother used to say “When chicken merry, Hawk deh near”- translation where there is a happy chicken, there is also a hawk watching close by. PS If you didn’t know, hawks eat chickens according to the Bugs Bunny cartoons I used to watch as a child. It’s essentially the same as saying whatever brings you happiness today can bring you sadness another day if you are not careful. Of course this doesn’t mean all good things will go bad, but all bad things were once good, pardon my cliché.
You can’t allow anyone to force you to snap out of whatever you’re going through until the time is right. I like to take some time away from people’s opinion so I can hear myself think. You have to keep your own vibe in check and be careful of how you share your energy. A couple years ago, ok many years ago I had a really bad breakup that made me not want to get out of bed for weeks. I remember getting on my laptop one night and planning a solo vacation to Guam. It was one of the most amazing feelings to get away from my space. I had so much fun just lounging about in my hotel room all day. I didn’t really do anything, but just taking a break from my apartment and usual routine made such a big difference. I was aware from the memories.
Just trust me, you don’t even have to leave the country to have a little getaway, you can keep it local. a group of my best gal pals and I planned a weekend in Napa a few weeks ago and we are planning another one at Hilton All Inclusive Resorts. Work has us all in a choke hold and these mini vacations really help revive us, when you plan it with friends it can be so much more affordable and fun. It can really do a lot to bring families and friends closer together and it can bring you some much needed clarity. You don’t even have to leave your room and no it’s not the same as being at home, consider this as a retreat for your mental health.
I like to write when I’m going through a hard time and isolate myself from people, I write how I’m feeling. I also get more inspired when I get away from home and in a new space. Maybe you just had a bad breakup, maybe the people you used to hang out with you just don’t click with them anymore, whatever change you are going through that’s your vibe. Do not allow anyone or anything to interfere with your vibe and make it worst. Once you are aware of your emotions and how you feel, it’s all uphill from there, but you can not do this in chaos and noise.
That friend that frustrates you for no reason every time they are around you? Yeah they need to be checked and time around them needs to be limited. I’m currently putting together outfits for the next “Girls Trip” I am going on and I’m hella exited, I’m thinking of even adding a lot more color to my looks. We all know how much I hate color!
