Ladies and Gentlemen if you follow me on Instagram, which if you’re not ummmm why not. You would have seen my initial story about this natural deodorant. When I tell you that I really reviewed this product, I mean no joke “I REVIEWED”. I wore this deodorant everyday for seven days, starting September 29th to October 6th.
The first day I wore it I went to the gym. I followed the instructions on the package, Not too much a little goes a long way. I realized almost immediately, that a little does not go a long way and I needed more. It claims to be safe to use on you vagina. Do NOT use this shit on your vagina, I’m dead serious, I will say no more about that. I’m not even sure exactly how or where you’re supposed to rub it down there, so let’s avoid it.
The first day I wore it within five minutes I was sweating, I am not someone who sweats easy. I Made it inside the locker rooms at my gym and I needed paper towel to dab my armpits, by the end of my workout I had B.O. and I wanted to die. I did my initial first impression on my instagram stories. But I paid $18 for a product that was so effectively advertised on Youtube during a break from my favorite Haul Videos, yet came in very unimpressive packaging. So I decided I was going to put it to the test all week.
I used it the next day, I used way more than directed and rubbed it in really good. I did it in layers, I would put one layer on then a second layer on for security. So when you turn the dial and that first goo, comes up I split that in two and apply to each armpit. Then I do it again. I went to the gym, did the treadmill high incline, just speed walking wearing a hoodie and I did not sweat or have B.O. I was like wait a minute what the hell. By the end of the day it was wearing off a little but not terrible. You would have to come close to me to realize, like too dam close.
For the rest of the week, I kept wearing it, went back to the gym four more times, and I’m gonna say what happened the first day did not happen again. I think the key for me was rubbing it in and using a decent amount to really cover the area and get a good layer. What I like about it, is the texture unlike the Native that I usually use, it goes on pretty smooth and isn’t rough on the skin when you rub it. It’s goo like texture is not that bad for the purpose. I will say the smell isn’t the best for me under the Jasmine and rose scent, something oddly unpleasant lingers. I have no idea what it is.
So how do I rate Lume natural deodorant with the amazing Youtube commercial, and horrible shipping package? I give them an 7.5/10. How does it stack up to my Native, I give Native an 8/10, only because I like the smell of Native better, but at the same time I prefer the texture of Lume better. I had to choose the lesser of the two evils, so Native wins. I would definitely suggest trying Lume, they had really bad reviews, but the thing about natural deodorant is this. It’s very personal, what works for her might not work for you.
