Hello love Bugs, it’s September. September is like the second January to me, it’s that time of the year when Summer has ended and you really start to reflect on the months that have passed. You prepare for a new year and banter between your friends about how quick the year has ended. “January was literally just here.
This year I didn’t really set too many resolutions, not on purpose but because I started the year off pretty uninspired and it has caused me to have a very emotional 2019. But this September I’m planning to fix all of that with some last minute resolutions and catch up on some things I have been procrastinating. I have always been honest about my mood swings and there are times when I just want to throw the towel in, some days im good and there are other days when I don’t know why I bother.
One thing is for certain this year I have continued on my path of health and wellness. It’s been three years since I stopped eating meat, two years since I’ve been intermittent fasting and two years since my move to California.

I’ve been taking my vitamins more seriously. I stopped taking Care Of pre-packaged vitamins and started taking Hum Vitamins about three months ago. I haven’t been taking them long enough to tell you if they are amazing just yet, however I did add a new vitamin from their line into my ritual and I’m very excited about it. Their “Turning back Time, age defying skin cell protection”. It protects from the inside against the damages of sun exposure, it has turmeric which is literally a magic ingredient and though it doesn’t substitute for sun block. Together they make you unbeatable.
It’s been more than three months since I switched to natural deodorant and more than two years, on and off since I started using natural organic tampons, pads and liners. I’ve overall just become way more conscious. At first making the switch to natural deodorant was extremely difficult like I quit the first two times. Now I’m on a much calmer road, even though I haven’t gotten there quite yet. Things are going a lot better for us.

My collaboration with Stay Golden Cosmetics a Jamaican owned cosmetics company, is added to my list of amazing collaborations. I collaborated with SGC earlier in the summer after they reached out to me a couple months ago about trying some of their lip colors. I was beyond impressed, from packaging to the look and feel of the lipsticks in my hands all the way down to the color pay off. The lipstick try on is on my youtube channel and you can get there from my home page by scrolling all the way down of clicking HERE.
Overall I know I have been slacking with my content but trusts me when I say a lot is happening. But things are getting better, thanks for the continued love and support guys. Get ready for the countdown to 2020!!
xoxo Lauren
