I’m sitting in a printing shop waiting to be served there’s a girl beside me playing with her fingernails waiting patiently to be served, the attendant is chatting on the phone. Now I get up and ask what is going on, why should sit down and wait while you finish your conversation I’m a costumer, who is spending my hard earned money I dont deserve some respect.

I hate women who just sit down and put up with things for the sake of being quiet, i refuse to sit and allow my rights to float around, why does it have to be about who I know. I am, honestly annoyed at what I have to deal with everyday, I am a human being, not a criminal and I will not sit down and allow foolishness to happen. I wish more women would stand up and understand that we are the back bone of any country and every household.

Not only do women who remain quiet bother me but, it bothers me that our world especially in times like these we aren’t uniting and coming together to help each other, i really wish we would put aside racism, and our fear of how others view us.

You can get a glimpse when you watch Rihanna video for “Rude Bwoy” heavily influenced by Jamaica and Dancehall that our culture as it relates to partying and the influence of music is no joke. Every and any day of the week depending on your preference we party hard in Jamaica, we might not be no Ibiza but give us a couple millions and we’ll put the finishing touches on it and then there’de be no force stronger than this one.

If you’re a “younging” like myself you would have started with Quad night club, remember back in the days when it used to be the “Spot” and when that wasn’t the only option there were a hundred and one all inclusive parties happening every night you could just pick choose and refuse. When the option came around Fiction we were hungry for a change of space, way way smaller than what we were used to but we adjusted, Now with heavy hitter Club Privilege that has embodied everything that Quad and Fiction is offering and much more, the question is, “are we ready for this Privilege”

The “ones who know” know Club Privilege’s decor is heavily influenced by European style with splashes of Jamaican culture all over it. Two Bars, a spacious dance floor, a VIP area as big as Fictions whole dance floor and then some, a DJ booth that looks aover the whole club and two separate sitting areas, makes partying in Club Privilege, well for a lack of a better word, A Privilege.

The first bar that greets you upon entering Club Privilege, better known as the high end bar carries champagnes, wines, cognac, Patrons and other high end liquor that other clubs do not carry, its safe to say the accumulated cost from the first bar could probably buy me a range rover and a small apartment, #FACT.

The club boasts a unique lighting system that has the ability to change the mood of the club, you won’t find a lighting system similar or even compared to what Club Privilege has created.

If you have never been to Jamaica well my friends now is the time to go, if you want to party Kingston city, if you wanna lye down on the beach Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, There is soooo much to do in Jamaica. Stay tuned as I tour you around my beautiful island

Native New Yorker Niki McNally has taken the dancefloors of the Big
Apple by storm. She’s built herself a wide following through her
energetic, musical sound, crafting a DJing style that fuses together
spaced out drums, melody and loads of groovy basslines. She’s
currently holding down residencies at both Cielo and Sullivan Room –
two of New York’s top music-minded venues – and with plenty of other
high-profile DJ appearances to her name, Niki McNally is definitely
one DJ making serious waves in the city’s electronic music scene.

Raised in a family of musicians, music has always been a central part
of Niki McNally’s life. She grew up performing and writing her own
songs, but it was her high school exposure to Sasha’s “San Francisco”
Global Underground mix that she credits as her introduction to the
creative possibilities of electronic music. She was instantly hooked,
and after chasing down as many mixes and DJ sets as she could, she
began to learn the craft of DJing for herself. It wasn’t long before
she was playing for some of New York’s best clubs, with regular
appearances at Love, Webster Hall & Le Souk among others. She
performed for two years at the Buddha Bar, an experience that
introduced her to a huge range of music from around the world. Mixing
up different genres and sounds – everything from drum & bass to
downtempo and ethno-techno – her DJ sets there helped her develop a
keen ear for blending a diverse array of styles together.

Now focused solely on the music that is her true passion, Niki McNally
chooses the best sounds from across the electronic music spectrum.
Touching on house, progressive and techno in her sets, her goal is to
get the dancefloor focused on moving. It’s a skill she’s displayed
alongside veteran DJs like Sharam (Deep Dish), Misstress Barbera, Dj
Disciple, Lexicon Avenue’s Scott Bradford and Behrouz name a few, as
well as at her own headlining appearances. Currently working in the
studio to create her own original productions, expect to hear much
more from Niki McNally, and her deep love of all aspects of electronic
music culture.

Nobody can really tell you what to do, i mean in a perfect world not really. Except maybe the police, President, your boss, your mom, OK so a few people can tell you what to do but not alot. My point is when you ask people for advise what you’re really asking for, (at least I hope that’s what you’re doing) is just voicing your opinions for a free life is voicing what’s going on in your mind, some psychiatrist believe that saying your problems out loud helps your mind to asses the better so you understand better the circumstances, that as well as they could just be defending their practice. Either way there is some truth to it, we all know what to do deep down inside, we all know staying away from this girl or dating that guy will have its positives and negatives, we as “reasonable” individuals must weigh these pros on cons. Everything in life is “gamble’ the question is; Are you a gambler?

We’re coming to a closure on Relationship week, and my final comments are when you and a man/woman are together in a private moment or the hundreds you share nobody feels that connection except for you and that person.

You know the answers to all your life’s questions.

My timing could not have been more perfect to be nineteen and right there on the scene with The Ramones, Runaways, Dylan and nude swim parties with a camera hanging around my neck. If I was a couple of years later, I would have missed everything!

I think John Rockwell invited me to this party. Directly behind the Beverly Hills Hotel is a huge mansion owned by David Lane. I knew many of the guests, although an older crowd. It was a warm sunny afternoon, I was standing next to the bar trying to get a drink and all of a sudden this lovely girl started to strip down right in front of me. I only had a wide-angle 24 mm camera lens, not really wide enough, so I backed up as far as I could, almost knocking over the bar. You have to do the best you can in these situations. Take a close look at the guy on the left of the photograph walking towards the girl. That is Burt who was and still is, almost thirty years later, a permanent fixture on the party circuit. I am sure that he was on his way to get this girl’s telephone number. Back then, I did not think it too much of a big deal going to a Mega Mansion party in Beverly Hills with nude girls because I attended three or four of these a week! This was the only photograph worth taking at the party and now is one of my favorite photos. It truly captured a moment from that incredible era that I will never see again.

10 very important rules you must obtain for a relationship to work.

(1) The first three months of your relationship should be almost like a secret being hidden from the tabloids. It should be a need to know basis don’t go blubbering to Mellisa about where he brought you on your first date and how expensive the food was.

(2) Do not ask your friend for advise! Do not ask your friends for advise, even if they seem to be in the perfect relationship or married for 10 years. My grandfather used to say we all love ketchup but some of us put it on the side of our plate, some of us put it on our food and then some of us mix it with mayonnaise,

(3) If you have a particular feeling about something relating to your relationship, talk to the person your in the relationship with. Talking about issues will eventually resolve them.

(4) No relationship is the perfect role model to follow. You don’t have to do everything a typical woman should do, and he doesn’t have to be everything a typical man should be, you two are perfect the way you are for each other. Shelly’s boyfriend may have a 9 to 5 and brings her to the movies religiously every Sunday, but the greatest thing is your boyfriend works all the time for 3 months at a time, then he’s home for 3 months and you go to the movies, beach, dinner, clubbing, trips to the islands everyday.

(5) Do not search each others cell phones.

(6) Do not put a code lock on your cell phone is causes room for wonder.

(7) Texting each other or calling each other through out the day, reminds each other that you still got it.

(8) Don’t introduce children from previous relationships unless its absolutely necessary, give it time you should know the person for more than 6 months.

(9) An ex wife or an ex girlfriend, is it necessary to meet them unless you have kids with them and you’re getting married to this new person! Until then pssshh no need to introduce your ex boyfriend or ex husband.

(10) Remember no rule is written in stone, be you if you can’t be you, its not right.

I grew up on a farm my mom and dad were very poor they had 10 children I was the 10th, hahahahahaha not really I just always wanted to say that ahahahaha.

Now let’s go on to another topic which most women find tricky. I’m 23 years old and I have never lived with a man, yes it could be that I’m annoying, problematic and just too dam loud. It could also be that I’m unwilling to put my trust solely into a man and give up my independence. Girls blush when guys move them in they feel special and loved, but the reality of the situation is you’re now climbing up some very high steps and not using the handle bar what happens when you miss a step, he throws you out and moves another one in. Guys who want there girlfriends to live with them are the guys who cheat while playing monopoly and probably owns a pair of loaded dice. They like to be in control, and if there is anywhere that a man can exude his kingly behavior then it would have to be his home, under his roof where you either do as you’re told or get out.

I don’t know why women keep making this mistake, if you live with him there is no need 87% of the time for him to marry you, he’s already getting the benefits of being married to you, he wakes up beside you, you clean, cook, remind him that the cable bill is still unpaid and one day you’ll miss a day on your pill and he’ll get you pregnant. By then your dreams of getting married in Alexander Mcqueen dress will be neatly replaced with hoping he comes home on time because the baby won’t stop crying.

Don’t give up what is due to you ladies, if he says move in say, sure buy me a ring. He’ll think twice if you mean something to him he’ll buy you a ring and think about it, but if you let him move you in and you refer to each other as Husband and wife, well that’s defeating the purpose, if of course you dnt mind being just live in and out girlfriend and boyfriend for the rest of your life. Look at his track record has he always lived with women? How soon does he move them in? How quickly does he move them out?
Being in a mans house creates room for easy “conformity” you now become “property” like the couch and the plasma tv you go with the decor but come next fall you could be the wrong color and may be replaced with next seasons must have, a sleeker, younger, much more willing version.

Like a lot of things in life, you are told never to jump all in except in Vegas of course, when investing money, investors tell you to keep a little back in case the market collapses, a relationship is like an investment it can collapse any time, always have an alternative, would you go to the middle of the ocean and not bring a life jacket if you said yes your like the fool who didn’t prepare. Men like what they can’t have, they want to control what seems impossible, tell him you won’t move in until he makes you feel like its a permanent move, after all you’re not Jehovahs witness there’s no need for you to be roaming from house to house. Tell him you want a ring its not too much to ask for if he’s willing to move you in after all.

There’s an old Jamaican proverb, “see me and come live wid me, a two different thing”

You may spend weeks at a time at his house, but you go ahead and move in there and see what a difference the situation makes. Don’t take my words lightly ladies.

Its still Relationship week here on LaurenOLauren, and I wanted to point out that some of the best relationships don’t need children! yes I said it a lot of girls, and i’ll say the word Girls think having a baby is great and it probably is when you think about it, but contrary to what you may believe they are not toys or trends that come in and out with the time, they’re fat and smell great for 11 months after they are born and then after that they become hassles. They run around make noise and need things, I don’t know about you but i would rather be watching “will and Grace” that picking up little Mathew from football or bringing Amy to ballerina we both know she’ll never become a god dam ballerina.

You’re seeing a guy for a year and before you know it, your pregnant, well done may I award you with the badge 6Th Baby Mother. Is that really what you want? he hasn’t even moved you in yet and you’re going to give a child. Tell me now he’s already gotten the best gift a woman could give him, why, tell me why would he marry you or move you in he doesn’t have to.

Now all he has to do is move on to hopefully a smarter girl, who has better things to do with her time apart from, hmmmm i dunno give birth.

A relationship doesn’t need a child to prove that it’s working, or that you two are together, nobody needs to really know more than the both of you, and if by chance someone sees you holding hands in public, or sneak a kiss.

Children aren’t toys, they are a permanent responsibility for the rest of your life, when a man can walk away or even be missing, guess who has to stay home and be responsible, the woman, it’s our punishment from God remember that as well as the fact that we may never get an orgasm from time to time.

Do you know what a man means when he says he wants to have children with you? what he’s really saying is, “our sex life is good” nothing more nothing less, you play around with him and tell him you’re pregnant, keep up the game for 2 months if you can, I promise you’ll stop seeing him every day, and probably start seeing him once a week, if by then he doesn’t run away, changed his name and now hangs out with the Dahlia lama. Try it!!

You can be in a relationship for years and kids don’t ever have to get in the picture, if you want kids so bad, buy a cute little puppy!!

It’s the month of February and even though it’s Black history month, something i honestly think white people invented to remind us that we were once in slavery and that they still have the upper hand. I thought why not have an “Ode to Relationships” week so all of this week i will posting blogs dedicated to the relationships that work and don’t work, and if you have any stories of your own feel free to send them in.

To start off the event, I want to personally thank all the men who in the past made me cry, I look back on it today and im sooo thankful that Tony slept with that girl, god who would have known that all that shit would amount to this, im honored that you never thought I was the one, I cant think of any one I would rather be with now than the man I’m with now even when we argue i love him, in his moodiest mood I’de rather be around him than any of you.

Now I know what i felt before was not love I was just young and dumb,I can be myself around him, and I don’t have to wake up half an hour before him go brush my teeth, put makeup on or brush my hair into place, Trust me i did that for 6 months everyday with this one guy Jesus it was hard work!!

You know you love someone when you cant operate by yourself, see? i didn’t love you Tony cause I used to function better when you weren’t around, and as for that Seventh day Adventist dude, pssshhh you and your religion can meet me in hell, I have a booth with bottles of my favorite red wine.

Thanks to all the guys who had a chance with me and abused it and now you see me and you want me back, tsk tsk tsk, too late motherfucker, you’re now one of my biggest regrets.

Big up to all you Men who broke my heart cuz if you didn’t, I would probably be with one of you know, maybe even pregnant with some annoying kid running around giving me a headache. So girls when a boy brakes your heart just smile someone better is coming!!
