Fame, The book report……… (movie review)

Alright, so I watched the movie Fame, and i loved it but let me explain why I liked it and why a lot of people wouldn’t. I watched fame twice in two days just to make sure I knew what it was about. Fame reminds me of a certain writing style I can’t name right now, if you guys read as much as i do you may have heard of a book called “A long Way Down” by Nick Hornby it was a new York times best seller too, The author tells a story that has a common goal at the end, but trying to be attained by several different people, in the book it was suicide which all the characters were trying to commit but each person has their own personal reason, so it was only fair that he told it from several angles. In the movie Fame all the characters were trying to attain stardom or Fame for a lack of a better word, but it wasn’t just Leroy, or Hillary, It was Coco, Dorris, Garci and that orange hair fellow whose mom was an actress, I thought the directing style for Fame was fresh, too bad many people couldn’t appreciate what the Director was trying to do, because there were so many lead characters it was hard to keep track of them and remember their names, but that isn’t the fault of the Director. One could probably blame the writers, the Director did his best in making sure we remember the faces all of them, well I did. Fame Got 3.5/5 stars from me i had to subtract points for those blunders I spoke off earlier, one thing I’m sure of however is that Fame will make a great book. So if you haven’t watched it yet watch it, if you watched it already watch it again and stop looking for a lead character and get to know each character and understand their stories. The Movie Fame for me brakes the guideline of movies set years gone by where there is one star and one story being told, It reminds me of the movie “Vantage Point” done slightly differently but very similar in theory. xoxoxox lauren Alexander, “Fame I’m gonna live forever”
