Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland.

I’ve been reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, I thought there was lot I could learn from a little girl who mysteriously gets thrown into a situation she was in no way prepared for. Her outlook, bravery and overall attitude to her new environment really makes me respect her, we’ve all landed in situations where we have no control, how we handle them is what separates us from the pack. Among some of the unique characters Alice meets is a Duchess, who she once described as very ugly, and has a knack for always trying to find the moral in everything, but something she said stuck with me, clearly it has I’m writing a blog about a children’s book for crying out loud, The Duchess said;

“Be what you would seem to be, or if you’d like it put more simply- never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise”

Before you complain about being confused read it over a couple times, all she is saying is don’t pretend to be something you aren’t, especially if it’s clear to every one else that you aren’t that person, for example you’re pretending to be a millionaire when it’s plain as day to everyone that you are broke as a hores virginity. At the same time it’s not saying you can’t be who you want to be, strive for greatest, but don’t fake it (unless it’s an orgasm lol).

xoxox you’d be amazed the things you could see when look at a different angle, lauren Alexander
