Work Essentials, Some Basic Favorites

June 8, 2018

Guys how long has it been? Too dam long that’s what. I’ve been busy making up for lost time, remember those three years I spent in that God forsaken town and didn’t really go anywhere or do anything because people were so weird. Work takes up a lot of my time these days honestly, getting dressed for work can seem so repetitive. I saw a meme once about the first day of work compared to three months later, I connected with it on a spiritual level.

None the less I’ve been keeping it minimal and incorporating key pieces that will make my outfit pop even though, I pretty much wear a black suit everyday. I wanted to put a few of my favorites in a blog post, a lot of these are pieces I have in my closet that I cycle through.  For work clothes I’ve been sticking to H&M, Banana Republic and the Gap.  I have to wear a blazer so I go for minimal tops that would fall under basics that I can get anywhere to be honest, I dont mind the tank tops from old navy either. Where do you guys like to shop, sound off below.

OOTD Travel & Reviews

San Fran With My Slides and My Fur Coat

April 4, 2018

I love San Fran so this is part OOTD and Travel review in one. While my friend Najeary was here we went to San Fran, we mainly looked around and did touristy things. We had an amazing latte at the place called Weaver’s Coffee and Tea near the Castro District. Please check it out if you’re ever there. Everything about San Francisco is so picture worthy, to the sloped streets, the colorful buildings with interesting doors all the way to awesome people and vibes all around. San Francisco is never a bad idea, we went to see the Chinese New Year parade and even though it was freezing and we wasted a lot of time walking around Castro and didn’t get good spots to see the parade properly. Honestly we had a lot of fun just walking around China Town I bought so many useless things. Najeary got caught up in the fireworks and I wondered through the stores buying silly memorabilia to remember the moment.
These are the moments that make up life, it makes us happy when we’re older because just the memory of it puts a smile one our face. We took the Bart from San Jose to Down Town San Fran and there was a homeless lady on the Bart drinking and smoking and cursing at everyone. The guy that sat behind us was dealing with legal issues and was sure of his alibi, there was so much happening on our commute there. On our way back we got lost three times, but the whole time we had fun.

What crazy adventures will you embark on this year, Spring is here and Summer is around the corner. Have a great week love bunnies.

xoxo Lauren.

When I don’t Know What To Wear I Wear Denim

February 7, 2018

Recently I had to go to the doctor, to be honest I’ve been going to the doctors a lot lol.  I was going to leave the house and I could not find anything to wear as usual. Whenever I can’t find anything to wear I stop over thinking and put on skinny jeans.  Denim is my saving grace and I just can’t talk about it enough, without denim I would be lost and would have nothing to wear ever. I’m currently on the hunt for another pair of everyday go to jeans that can go from day to a glam night out. I’ve ordered a few but many of them fail after the third time I put them on. Below I’m going to list some of my favorite things I like to buy in denim and pieces I think everyone should have in their closet.  Where did you get your favorite pair of jeans? I Haven’t been able to put any real looks together for you guys because of my lack of mobility at the moment. I’m not even wearing makeup in these picture lol, but sometimes I want to remind you that we dont always need to be so glammed up. Have a great week, Happy Hump-Day loves.

Grey Ruffle Sweater Dress – OOTD

January 31, 2018

The simplicity of a sweater dress is what keeps me coming back. This dress is not everyone’s cup of tea as a matter of fact when I was buying it a couple people said it was ugly.  But when I see something on a hanger I can envision it off the hanger and I can incorporate it into real life, so I knew this little sweater was going to be perfect. This exact sweater isn’t available anymore but not to worry I found you guys some similar ones that I think you’ll love just as much. I was even able to find my fluffy bag pack that I bought a couple months ago in DSW, yes the one with the faux fur. I finished my look with Puma classic sneakers, for the record these are some of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn and I was off to happy hour with the girls. We ordered these huge tumblers of this rose flavored cider type drink, we had so much fun. Earlier we went to the mall and bought makeup then we ended the night with food and drinks. Since moving to Cali I find myself really making the effort to go out more and for some reason it’s easier to do it here. Californians are all about chilling and hanging out and I need some of that in my life. What’s your go to piece that you buy over and over again.

Adding Texture To Amp Up Your OOTD

January 17, 2018

I love playing with texture when it comes to a look, when I saw this coat in H&M a couple weeks ago (key phrase here, a couple weeks ago) I knew it needed to be in my closet.  Even though California doesn’t get very  cold I figure whenever I travel this is a nice piece to have.  I like how you can use a piece like this and change a very boring look just Continue Reading

A Look Back at a Fashionable 2017

January 3, 2018

2017 is over,

oh my gosh Im going to miss her she was such a nice girl. I found out a lot of things about my personal style and really started to come into my own. Last year a lot of discoveries were made, I realize a more tailored fitted look works better with my body type and I can not get away with baggy clothes.  I am leaving trendy one wear pieces behind in 2017 also. I want a more practical closet with more reusable  pieces. Continue Reading
