How excited am I that I got to do this collage with Femmeluxe Finery. I got to check out their women’s dresses section and fell in love with everything on their site. Ok the truth is I love wearing black, white and grey. I have recently ventured off into brown and I don’t know what took me so long. I honestly feel that if I stick to darker colors even when I’m buying trendy more affordable pieces, I can get way more bang for my buck.
Have you ever seen a girl in your local town who is wearing an outfit similar to one you have? Have you ever wondered why she looks great in her but on you it looks plain and ordinary? It is nothing to do with designer brands; it has nothing to do with hers and your figure. It is all down to wearing the right accessories, which can change a boring outfit into something stunning. This is an art that some lucky people have perfected, and others still need to grasp.
While fashion trends come and go, when we are looking for some sort of inspiration to improve our style, we are neglecting one simple thing. We need to embrace our own style, nobody else’s! And while it’s intimidating to forge your own path, rather than follow the herd, dressing the way we want can free us up in so many ways. So how can we discover our own fashion style, and make the most of it?
Am I the only one who gets excited about dressing up for work, I like to find new ways to rework my wardobe. Without buying too much work related pieces because that can get really boring. This jumpsuit I bought in Urban Outfitters over the summer was a piece I was very excited about, it’s easy to wear and the boho vibe of it was just perfect with my overall aesthetic. I decided to wear it to work too with a blazer on top. You would be surprised what a blazer can do to an outfit. It can make you instantly look more put together. I listed some similar items down below as I could not find the exact same pieces. Have a great Thursday everyone it’s almost Friday.
Denim in the office is a big yes for me. I have always felt that denim is such a universal peace, it can be found in the scariest ghettos to the most proper brunch parties. Denim is the universal language of the fashion world, a fabric respected by everyone, even girls who only wear leggings have garnered a lot of respect for this fabric. Even when they say out loud that they hate jeans. Trainers have slowly grown on me, I will forever be a high heels girl but these days I’m really appreciating a smooth pair of trainers. Trainers and denim in the office though? Can it be done? the right trainers can be done anywhere, big bulky gym sneakers are a no for me but these sleek Nikes that I have practically been living in can actually be worn anywhere. I believe these are the Nike Court Royales and I first heard about these when I was hunting shoes for my Paris trip a few years ago, these did not disappoint.
If I’m going to do something so untraditionally office like, I stick to a black blazer. I keep the colors neutral, tan, black, grey or white are my go to colors for everyday work life anyway. These are my new jeans by the way,I picked them u in Urban Outfitters, they are the Levi wedgie fit and I am so obsessed with them. I’m going to have them taken in at the waist soon then they’re gonna be perfect, but at the moment they are fine. How do you wear denim in the office?
Black denim high waisted ankle length skinny jeans, I honestly never ever thought the day would come when I would be caught dead in anything ankle. I always thought because I had really long legs I needed to stay away from ankle cut. Yet this season I find myself actually buying a few pieces cut at the ankle. I stepped way, way outside my comfort zone and I actually really like the results. When it comes to styling pieces that aren’t traditionally office looks for a lack of a better term, I stick with neutral colors. In my head anything can be styled for the office if you get it in black, grey or tan, well almost anything, cause you know some things are just inappropriate. I did get my skinnies from Zara they were around $39. However I wasn’t able to link them here, so I linked something very similar, well to be fair I wasn’t able to link the exact pieces for anything I’m wearing. However I found similar pieces that will give you the look and to be honest I prefer some of the linked pieces to the ones I’m actually wearing. Are you loving my cooperate OOTD’s please comment down below and let me know.
Good Morning Love Bunnies,
This outfit was inspired by one of my blogger friends Shalini she did this on her Instagram and I fell in love. I have always liked mixing casual with super professional pieces, it’s like having the best of both worlds. Not much talking today check out the pic I’ve left the link to all the pieces. Thanks for the support always, It’s Monday and I’m heavily inspired by the Nike movement right now.
Summer is coming to a quick and drastic end and that means everyone is leaning towards darker colors. Winter Is a very dark time for me, the days get shorter, there isn’t a lot of sunlight and it’s cold. Even though I know we have to pass through Fall first, it’s all the same for me. However I have been finding black fun these past few days, yes it’s like I have reignited my love affair with black and it’s my happy color again. These days I’m loving short hair it’s so chic, I feel like short hair right now really makes a woman stand out, I know the really long straight weaves have been in but I have not been feeling that look. What have you guys been into and what trends are you taking into the changing season. As usual I have linked what I’m wearing below. Also I wanted to add, I took these picture and didn’t do any form of editing with them, I have always been very minimal with editing and when I first posted looks I just uploaded them straight from my camera or phone. I want you guys to see authentic images, because there are so many doctored images on the web.
